Is KULAU Organic Coconut Oil suitable for raw cuisine?
Yes, KULAU Organic Coconut Oil has raw food quality and is suitable for raw cuisine. The coconut oil is produced from fresh coconut meat straight after the harvest using the especially gentle centrifuge method. Then the coconut oil is brought to Germany in large barrels where it is filled into glasses according to the highest quality standards and at temperatures below 40 °C. KULAU Coconut Oil is unrefined and unhardened.

How long does KULAU Organic Coconut Water stay fresh?

Where does KULAU Organic Coconut Water come from?
KULAU Coconut Water comes from Sri Lanka. The organic plantations are inspected and certified according to European standards.
Is coconut milk and coconut water the same thing?
No. Coconut water is obtained from young coconuts. In the producing countries it is an important drinking water substitute. When coconuts ripen, their coconut water gradually forms the white coconut meat. This is used to make coconut milk, by pureeing the meat with water and pressing the mixture through a cloth.
What's so special about coconut water?
Our delicious KULAU Coconut Water is a pure product of nature. It is naturally isotonic and contains valuable minerals, in particular potassium, magnesium and calcium. KULAU coconut water only contains 0.1 g of fat, 0.3 g of protein and about 12 kcal per 100 ml. Coconut water is regarded as especially pure, as it is effectively filtered by the coconut fibers.

Is sugar added to the coconut water?
No. KULAU Organic Coconut Water PURE is completely free of additives. The products KULAU RENEW and KULAU RELAX contain agave sirup. All ingredients are clearly labeled.
How is KULAU Coconut Water preserved?
KULAU Coconut Water is processed as gently as possible. To preserve fruit juices, they have to be pasteurized, and this is also the case with coconut water. Fresh, untreated coconut water would perish in a matter of days.
Does KULAU use preservatives?
No. All KULAU products are free of preservatives.
What does 'naturally isotonic' mean?
Referring to coconut water, 'naturally isotonic' means that it has the same osmolarity as human blood. This allows for a faster replenishment of the fluid balance and effectively provides the body with important minerals and energy, which is ideal after any kind of physical exertion, especially sports.
